The risk for developing TMD was increased in people homozygous for low (H1) or high (H2, H3) expressing haplotypes, but decreased in high/low heterozygotes.
Park et al. also tested rs1042713 and found no association.
Xiao et al. report decreased heterozygosity in fibromyalgia group, and a trend toward lower risk with A allele. Hocking et al. was negative for association with 7 other SNPs in ADRB2 and 11 SNPs in COMT.
